Our Story
Kevin began his career in 1992 with a passion for life insurance planning to help protect families. As the business grew, he saw a need from his Clients and expanded it to be full scope financial services practice. Since the beginning, his wife, Alicia worked along side him helping the practice be successful. Alicia (known to most as Honey) helped build strong client relationships and bring the “home-like” feel that our office still possesses today. In 2002 they built the Alfred Professional Park office building that still houses the main office for the practice.
Zack will soon be closing in on a decade in the financial services industry. He began his career in Windham, Maine where he quickly excelled, gaining the trust of his Clients. He became the local Chamber of Commerce President at the young age of 22 where he took the Chamber to the best financial position it had seen in years. He and Kevin then decided to merge their 2 practices and become one. A brotherly bond quickly developed between them. With Kevin’s experience in the industry, he took Zack under his wing and helped expedite Zack’s growth.
Together, they have formed what is known today as Monroe & Conley Financial Group. An independent firm whose priority is to always put the Client first. They have assembled a diligent, hard working and enthusiastic team who all strive to ensure the best client experience possible.

Kevin Monroe
Founder & Managing Partner
I entered the financial services industry in 1992. From the beginning, I have always focused on the relationships with the many Clients—most of whom have become friends—I have been privileged and honored to serve. My wife Alicia, known to most as “Honey”, has always been by my side, and together we consider the profession truly a calling of ministry of service to others. Our son Ty and his wife Bethany have blessed us with five awesome and beautiful grandchildren. When I'm away from the office, you will find me spending a lot of time just being Grampa.

Zack Conley
Co-Founder & Partner
I started in the financial industry at 20 years old and quickly found a passion for helping educate my Clients in the complicated world of finance. In my free time I love to spend time with my wife and son, Olin, watch baseball and football and playing ball outside with our two dogs, Lucy and Bella. My favorite thing about what I do is when Clients come in and I get to tell them they can confidently retire and not stress about money. Losing my dad at a young age made me realize how important family is, and how crucial it is to be prepared financially. Since then I’ve devoted my energy in ensuring my Clients are as ready as possible for the inevitable ups and downs that life throws their way. My main goal in life is to make an income to support my family, while truly making an impact in my Clients life.

Shelly Belanger
Operations Manager
I’ve lived in Alfred my whole life, it’s where I call home and raised my family. I started my career out as a teacher until I realized the most important job of all was being home raising my boys. Once they were grown and in school I decided to return to work. I worked 13 years per diem in the insurance precertification department at Mainehealth before wanting to go a different direction in my career. With the support of my husband, Shawn, I happily accepted the position at Monroe & Conley Financial Group. My favorite part of this job is that the Clients who come in to our office genuinely become more like friends and family. And I love when I get to watch them retire with confidence. When I’m not at work, I love being outdoors, skiing, snowmobiling and spending time with my boys and our newest addition, our puppy Chase!

Kalor Conley
Chief Of Marketing
In my free time I like spending time with family and at camp relaxing with a good book. I owned my own business for 6 years before I decided to join alongside my husband after not feeling fulfilled in my past career. Since then, I now love coming to work and being able to spend time with our Clients. My favorite thing about our office is that it feels like home, and all of our clients feel like family. And I'm so excited to be able to work on our Client outreach because I deeply feel that what we do for our Clients and our community matters. Most recently, Zack and I welcomed our first child, Olin William. He is our whole world and being a mom has fulfilled me in ways I never knew were possible.
